The world is full of chaos and confusion,\nbut God is still on His throne. I am not a gloom and doom preacher who runs\naround like Chicken Little screaming, \u201cThe sky is falling!\u201d I believe God is\nsovereignly in control and His purpose will ultimately be fulfilled. Anyone\nwith an ounce of spiritual perception can see we are living in what Paul called\n\u201cperilous times\u201d (2 Tim. 3:1). The evil and turmoil we see on the global scene\nare indicators and reminders that we are truly living in the last days.   <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I rarely watch the news anymore due to media\nbias. I do read news articles on my phone to stay aware of what\u2019s going on.\nMark Twain famously said, \u201cIf you don\u2019t read the newspaper, you\u2019re uniformed;\nif you do, you\u2019re misinformed.\u201d I don\u2019t want negative news to consume my mind\nand make me live in fear. News Agencies have a policy: \u201cIf it bleeds, it\nleads!\u201d Top stories typically cover murder, crime, violence, and mayhem. Many\nnews outlets have a political agenda and a narrative they are using to sway\npeople\u2019s mind. (If only they would just report the facts and let us form our\nown opinions.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Some people asked me about the recent attack\non Israel and what the Bible says about Israel in the last days. I referred\nthem to Zechariah 14:2-4\u2014\u201cI will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle<\/strong>;\nand the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished . .\n. Then shall the Lord go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he\nfought in the day of battle. And his feet shall stand in that day upon the\nmount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem . . .\u201d<\/em> Many Bible scholars agree\nthe Battle of Armageddon is looming in the future, the final conflict between\ngood and evil, and God will supernaturally intervene for Israel (Zech. 14:1-12,\nPsalms 2, Ezk. 38, 2 Thess. 2:8, Rev. 19:11-21). I don\u2019t think this is IT<\/strong>\n(the \u201cbig one\u201d) yet, but it could easily escalate and boil over into an international\nconflict.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Because it was such a huge story, I did\nwatch the news, and it was very disturbing.RadicalHamas\nterrorists fired thousands of rockets into Israel killing over 1,300 people and\nwounding thousands. Numerous hostages were also captured, raped, tortured, and executed.\nFamilies were slaughtered in their own homes, over forty babies were decapitated,\nand people were burned alive. Experts say it is the most savage assault against\nthe Jews since the World War II Holocaust. Israel, of course, has launched an\naggressive counter attack in the Gaza Strip killing over 3,000 and warning the Palestinians\nto flee or die. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sadly, many protests erupted on U.S.\ncollege campuses blaming Israel for the attack and chanting \u201cgas the Jews\u201d or\n\u201cdeath to Israel.\u201d Antisemitism, fueled by the spirit of antichrist, will define\nthe end times and will only intensify. Paul warned Timothy, \u201cBut evil men\nand impostors will grow worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived\u201d<\/em> (2\nTim. 3:13). In Matthew 24, Jesus predicted global crises, but also told us not\nto be alarmed\u2014\u201cAnd you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you\nare not troubled<\/strong>; for all these things must come to pass, but the end is\nnot yet\u201d <\/em>(Mt. 24:6). Now is not the time to panic; now is the time to pray!\nIt\u2019s all part of God\u2019s master plan. He is not the author of evil, but He does move\nnations and leaders like pawns on a chessboard to serve His purpose.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here\u2019s why we don\u2019t have to be troubled by\nall the trouble in the world\u2014God\u2019s has a proven track record of taking care of\nHis people:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
